The Battlefords Midget Stars made their first Mac's Tournament appearance in 12 years in the international event in Calgary.
The Stars first game was against the Greater Vancouver Canadians Wednesday at 10 a.m.
The Stars were schedule to play their second round robin game Thursday against the Calgary Buffaloes.
Friday at 2:30 p.m. the Stars will face the Saskatoon Blazers and Saturday morning they will face the St. Albert Sports Raiders.
The tournament features some of the best midget AAA teams from across Canada and the world.
The list of Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League teams includes: Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, both Saskatoon teams, Tisdale and the Battlefords.
The other teams in the tournament are the Alaska Junior Aces, Calgary Buffaloes, Flames, North Stars and Royals, Cariboo Cougars, Carolina Junior Hurricanes, Edmonton SSAC BP Athletics, Leduc Chrysler Oil Kings, Lloydminster Baker Hughes Bobcats, Okanagan Rockets, Pirati Chomutov, Red Deer Optimist Chiefs, St. Albert Sports Raiders, UFA Bisons, Vancouver NW Giants, Winnipeg Wild and Lethbridge Pronghorns.
There are also 15 female AAA teams at the tournament including Melville, Prince Albert and Saskatoon whom play in the Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League against the Battlefords AAA Sharks.
