Ten teams battle in ladies' spiel

The 81st annual Battle River Rockers Ladies' Bonspiel took place in Battleford on the weekend and despite having just 10 teams there was some competitive and entertaining curling.

The 81st annual Battle River Rockers Ladies' Bonspiel took place in Battleford on the weekend and despite having just 10 teams there was some competitive and entertaining curling.

The teams were split into two pools and from there each team crossed over in the A, B, C, D and E events.

Playing off in the A event were the Voinorosky and Peterson rinks. In the B event were the Silvernagle and Walker teams. Frolek and Schommer played in the C event. In one pool, Peterson, Walker and Schommer all had three wins and a loss, but were sorted out after the tie breaking formula. In the other pool, Voinorosky and Silvernagle were both 3-1 in round robin play, but Voinorosky won the head-to-head match up was sent their rink to the final.

Clark and Dyck faced off in the D event and in the C event were Sack and Russell.
