The top two teams in the North Saskatchewan River Baseball League have lived up to the hype in the championship series.
The 12-2 Lloydminster Meridian Twins were defending their league title against the 12-2 Meadow Lake White Sox.
In game one, in Lloydminster, the Twins grabbed the series lead with a 4-2 win.
The Twins reclaimed their title and won the championship for the fourth straight year and eighth time since the 2000 season. The Twins were in Meadow Lake Wednesday and won 7-5.
The league champions finish the season after playing in AA provincials last weekend. As for Meadow Lake they will get a second chance at a championship this weekend in Lloydminster when they participate in senior A provincials with North Battleford, Wilkie, the Border City Blue Jays and Carlyle.
