Things have changed in New Horizons curling. As of Feb. 19 they now have three teams tied for first place, each with five wins and a couple of losses.

These teams are the Hall, Horrell and the Korpach rinks. There are three others that are just a half game behind. Those include Gordey, Krismer and the Lambie rinks.

In the games that brought the teams to first place, we saw the Forester foursome come out to play, and they scored five in the forth that put them seven up. It wasn't to last as the Krismer rink scored six in the next couple of ends to come close to winning.

On the next sheet, the first three ones scored by the Scott rink went for naught in the fifth end when Horrell tied it up.He then went on to score big, giving the Scott rink a lesson.

On sheet three, Belyk had a four-point lead and his team smiling after four ends.It wasn't to last, as the Hall rink came home with the game tied, and with the last rock went on to win.

In the afternoon, Ed Kjargaard and Dick Wisner were tied after five, but a three ender put Kjargaard's team in the driver seat and even with a duce by Wisner in the eighth it was not enough.

Scheduled on the next sheet were Gordey and Hagen, but neither of the skips were there. They were replaced by Alexander Scott and Bob Guest. In this game, I can't say that it was called for, but a raised takeout by Hank Nickel put a grin on the Gordey rink. The next end he had a triple takeout that had the team laughing. They went on to win.

On sheet five, it was the leader Korpach against Rogers. It was a five ender in the second that sealed the game for Rogers and sending Korpach home after eight.Korpach's second loss and Rogers first win after a couple of ties.

In the last game, it was a seesaw battle between Lambie and Pauls.Although Lambie scored on most of the ends it was a four ender in the fifth that was the highlight of the game and made it close. Lambie did count enough to get the win.
