The Battlefords Bantam AA Barons had the most tied games during the regular season with six. Come playoff time, there are no ties and the Barons and Humboldt Broncos were forced to play on until a winner was decided.

While the game was approaching four hours, the Barons final broke the 3-3 tie when Colton Iron scored for the Barons.

The Battlefords led 3-1 with nine minutes remaining in the third period, but had the lead evaporate before the third period ended.

The triple overtime, game-three win for the Barons advances them through to the North Division semifinal, as they will face the 15-4-5 North East Wolfpack.

The Wolfpack had a first round bye after finishing second in the division and will start the series with the Barons Saturday in Melfort.

The Wolfpack has beaten the Barons twice this season in four games. The two most recent matchups between the two teams ended in a 3-3 and 2-2 tie.
