There are two undefeated teams remaining in the NSRBL.
The Lloydminster Twins and Border City Blue Jays are both 4-0 and sit tied for first in the league's standings.
Last week's action in the NSRBL started when the Unity Cardinals won 11-3 over the Lakers in Macklin May 29.
Francis Kiefer had two hits and drove in three runs for the Cardinals to lead the offence. Tyler Gilbert and Cory Wildeman drove in two runs apiece for Unity. Regan L'Heureux, Cory Hoffman, Mark Ralston and Blake Robertson also drove in runs for the Cardinals. Robertson also gave up three runs over four innings while striking out eight batters to pick up the win.
Kirk Olson knocked in two runners and Joe Kohlman drove in one run for Macklin. Derrick Lantz pitched two and a third innings, giving up five earned runs to take the loss.
Also May 29, the Standard Hill Lakers won 4-2 at home against the St. Walburg Reds.
The Meadow Lake Sox hosted a double-header Saturday. In game one, the Sox doubled up the Macklin Lakers 6-3 in the afteroon. In the night cap, the Lloydminster Twins edged the Sox 3-1.
The Midwest Expos picked up their third win of the season at home Sunday. The Expos defeated the Standard Hill Lakers 8-2.
The Twins sent St. Walburg to their fourth-straight loss to open the season Monday night. Lloydminster won 6-0 at home over the Reds.
Also Monday, the Expos and Mervin Flyers played a make-up game from a rainout May 29. Midwest won their fourth-straight game as they beat Mervin 9-2.
On Tuesday, the Twins stayed undefeated with a 5-1 win at home against the Unity Cardinals. The Macklin Lakers travelled to Wilkie and downed the Brewers 6-2. In Meadow Lake, the Sox won 9-2 over the Edam Blue Sox.
The Midwest Expos (4-1) are a half game behind the Blue Jays and Twins for first in the NSRBL. Meadow Lake (3-1) sits in fourth place with Unity (2-1) behind them in fifth. Edam (1-1), Macklin (1-3) and Standard Hill (1-3) are sixth, seventh and eighth in the league. Mervin (0-1), North Battleford (0-3), Wilkie (0-2) and St. Walburg (0-4) round out the bottom of the league.
