Three wins marks the distance between the second place Wilkie Outlaws and fifth place Meadow Lake Stampeders after the weekend North Saskatchewan River Hockey League action.

Meadow Lake won Friday in Turtleford, as the Stampeders scored four goals in the first period and five in the third earning a 10-4 victory. Travis Harrington was in net for Meadow Lake while Jorden Iron led the offence with two goals and three assists. DJ King had three goals and Ashton McIntyre had two goals.

Saturday, the two teams faced off in Meadow Lake and it was the Stampeders doubling the Tigers 6-3.

Harrington was in net again for the win while Ryan Corrigal led the offence with a hat trick and one assist.

Maidstone played twice on the weekend as well, and split their games. Friday, the Jets lost 7-4 to St. Walburg. Trevor Bailey had two goals and an assist while Jordan Fuder factored in on all the Eagles' goals with three goals and four assists.

Maidstone was on home ice Saturday and skated to a 6-2 win over Wilkie. Dustin MacDonald played well in net for the Jets in the win. Brett Harrison had two goals and two assists and Connor Pennell had a hat trick.

Friday, the Outlaws beat Paradise Hill in a high scoring 12-7 win.

Wednesday, Wilkie also beat Edam by a 4-2 score, as Mike Sittler led the way with two goals and an assist. Brody Roach had the two goals for Edam.

At press time, no score was reported from the Wednesday night game schedule between Meadow Lake and Paradise Hill.

St. Walburg has locked up first place with four games remaining. Wilkie, Turtleford, Edam and Meadow Lake will all be jostling for position in the standings, as the playoff matchups will start to take shape in the next two weeks.
