Two Sharks make SFMAAAHL all-star roster

The final decisions have been made and two Battlefords AAA Sharks have been selected to the league's all-star rosters.

The final decisions have been made and two Battlefords AAA Sharks have been selected to the league's all-star rosters.

The Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League picked two full rosters (four goalies, 12 defence and 24 forwards) of all-stars this season. Players from the Battlefords, Weyburn, Notre Dame and Melville made up one roster while Saskatoon, Prince Albert, Regina and Swift Current made the other roster.

Sharks Taylor Durocher and Delaney Ross were selected as 2011-12 all-stars.

Ross leads the Sharks in points with eight goals and three assists in 25 games in her second season in the league. Ross is the youngest regular in the Sharks' lineup again this year at 14.

Durocher is the highest scoring Sharks' defenceman this season with two goals and two assists in her second season with the Sharks.

Notre Dame and Saskatoon both had eight all-stars this season. Notre Dame's players include defencemen Kirsten Toth, Jaeilei Meyer and Mairi Sorensen and forwards Olivia Howe, Brittany Berisoff, Kelty Apperson, Daley Oddy and Meghan Sherven.

Goaltender Samantha Ridgewell, defencemen Alyssa Dobler and Kelsey Thiessen along with forwards Kennedy Harris, Emily Clark, Lauren Zary, Jaycee Gebhard and Korey Herner represent Saskatoon.

Weyburn had seven all-stars this season - Jane Kish, Brooke Patron, Jocelyn Sabourin, Sarah Spence, Kylie Gavelin, Marissa Pirlot and Emily Ryan.

The five all-stars from Prince Albert are Jessica Vance, Eleesha Cooper, Kaitlin Willoughby, Kelly Regnier and Carlee Hrenkiw.

Regina also had five all-stars - Nikki Watters-Matthes, Emma Waldenberger, Melissa Murray, Teah Anderson and Hannah Heisler.

The remaining all-stars are Nicole Clay, Bailey Braden and Brooklyn McKenna from Melville and Jill Kennedy and Carley Bertram from Swift Current.
