Unity dominates BLFL season

The 2013 Battlefords Ladies' Fastball League season showcased a lot of great teams and close games, but one team was able to run away in the standings. The Unity Midgets went undefeated finishing with four more wins than the second place team.

The Unity Midgets went undefeated in the 2013 BLFL season and will now look to build on that, come playoff time.

The 2013 Battlefords Ladies' Fastball League season showcased a lot of great teams and close games, but one team was able to run away in the standings.

The Unity Midgets went undefeated finishing with four more wins than the second place team.

A single tie was the only game that stopped Unity from finishing with a perfect record. They finished the year with 11 wins in the 12-game schedule, giving them 23 points.

The Battleford Midgets placed second with seven wins, four losses and one tie for 15 points.

The Battleford Bantams weren't far behind. They finished the year with six wins, five losses and one tie for 13 points.

The Edam and Maidstone Ladies both finished tied for fourth place with 10 points. Each had four wins, six losses and two ties.

The Survivors finished in sixth place. Their four wins, seven losses and one tie were good for nine points.

In seventh place were the Unity Bantams, their one win and 10 losses gave them two points.

Playoffs are set to kick off on Wednesday at 6 p.m., the league will be presenting the MVP awards at the Battleford Flats as long as everything has dried up by then.
