Vikings alum leaving his mark in B.C.

The high school football season is underway this week, and although the players don't need any extra motivation to play the game, the success of a former North Battleford Comprehensive High School Viking may help them focus on a goal in football.

The high school football season is underway this week, and although the players don't need any extra motivation to play the game, the success of a former North Battleford Comprehensive High School Viking may help them focus on a goal in football.

Zac Ironstand is a member of he Okanagan Sun of the Canadian Junior Football League in the B.C. Conference.

Okanagan are 1-3 on the season and Ironstand has made his mark on the team's defence. The defensive lineman had one sack and three tackles early in the season and is among the team and league leaders.

The former Viking and his new team have five games remaining in the regular season.
