Two North Battleford Comprehensive High School Vikings basketball teams gear up for the final portion of the season.

The senior boys looked to continue their impressive winning streak, but ended up with a silver medal. The Vikings beat Weyburn and Swift Current to advance to the final against Moose Jaw Central in the tournament in Swift Current.

The Vikings were second in the tournament and second in the Speedy Creek shootout as well.

The other NBCHS team in action was the JV girls Vikings, who were in Medicine Hat competing with mostly teams made up of Grade 10 and 11 players.

The Vikings won 60-23 over High River JV, but lost their next two games, 69-49 to Lethbridge Catholic Centre and 66-46 to Lethbridge Chinook, to finish in fourth place.

The JV team finished their season Tuesday at home to Luseland.

The boys' team has their home tournament scheduled for March 2 and 3 before conference playoffs begin.

The NBCHS senior girls' team will be in Weyburn this weekend and then Meadow Lake March 2 and 3 before their conference playoffs start.
