Humboldt stepped onto the podium at the MJT Prodigy/Golf Sask OOM Series golf tournament in Estevan, the site of the Golf Saskatchewan Provincial Junior Championships later this summer,  on Jul. 2-3 as Tayden Wallin finished in third place in the junior boys division.

Wallin opened the two-day tournament firing a front nine 38 as he made the turn at two-over par. Wallin made the turn near the top of the leader board and stayed there until he made seven on the 14th hole and a six on 18 to finish his round with a six over 78.

His opening round 78 left Wallin in a three-way tie for fifth place, three shots behind the first round leaders.

Wallin went out in his second round firing making the turn with an even par 36.

As Wallin made the turn he continued his strong play as he made up several strokes on the two leaders and found himself in a tie for first with the eventual champion, and one stroke ahead of the runner up as he made his way to 16. Wallin ended up shooting five, three and five on the final three holes to fall one stroke behind the two leaders.

Wallin finished his round with an even par 72 for a two-day total of six over 150.

Wallin currently sits in third place in the Cleveland Order of Merit points race with 210 points, 52.5 behind the two first place finishers.
