After a successful high school and club volleyball career, Wilkie's Adriana Hoffman is now turning her sights on the college game.

Hoffman, a graduate of McLurg High School in Wilkie, has committed to the Great Plains College SunDogs volleyball team.

The SunDogs play in the Prairie Athletic Conference and were 2-8 last season.

Hoffman joins the SunDogs after an impressive showing at the ID camp in May. She brings with her two provincial titles, one with the McLurg Broncos in 2009 at the 3A high school level and one with the 15U Division II Wilkie Raiders club volleyball team. She has also played club volleyball in Cut Knife.

"I chose the SunDogs because I liked the smaller, family-like atmosphere," said Hoffman, who reportedly turned down a competing offer from Cayuga Community College in Auburn, N.Y. "Great Plains College was welcoming, it had the program I was looking for, and of course the volleyball."

Great Plains College is located in Swift Current and has one of nine teams in the PAC.

St. Walburg's Brooke Couillard was one of nine players on the SunDogs roster last season.
