Through the first two days at the Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling's Tour Challenge Tier II event in Regina, North Battleford's Robyn Silvernagle is in the mix for a playoff spot.

Silvernagle, who is joined on her rink by third Jolene Campbell, second Dayna Demers and lead Kara Thevenot, have a 1-1 record following Wednesday's play and are tied for second in Pool C with Scotland's Hannah Fleming and Russia's Anna Sidorova.

After opening up the tournament with a 9-5 win over Sidorova Tuesday evening, Silvernagle was unable to comeback from a 5-0 deficit Wednesday night as she lost 7-5 to Switzerland's Binia Feltscher.

Feltscher, a two-time world champion, leads Pool C with a 2-0 record while Regina's Chantelle Eberle is in fifth place at 0-2.

Silvernagle will be back in action Thursday at 4:30 p.m. to play Fleming before wrapping up her round-robin slate at 9 a.m. Friday against Eberle.

The top eight overall records in the 15-team field will advance to Saturday's quarter-final, with any tiebreakers that are required taking place Friday night.

The winner of the Tier II event, which will conclude Sunday, will earn a spot at Grand Slam of Curling's Masters event in Lloydminster from Oct. 24-29.
