Students at École Père Mercure school were on hand for the unveiling of their new outdoor basketball court.

With nominations over, the Humboldt Sports Hall of Fame is ready to welcome this year's selection of athlete inductees. Four individuals and one team were chosen this year and range in a variety of sports from track and field to curling, to bowling.

The Humboldt Broncos showed they were an important part of the community by serving lunch at St. Dominic's School to raise money for their proposed playground.

Matthew Havens scored the lone goal of the shootout as the Battlefords North Stars downed the Klippers in Kindersley Saturday night. It was the North Stars' third straight win. There was no scoring in the first period.

The John Paul II Crusaders fell victim to the big play again as they dropped a 40-24 decision to the Martensville Royals in nine-man high school football Thursday night at Beaver Lions Stadium.

Nine golfers from the Northwest will compete in the SHSAA Provincial Sand and Grass Golf championships hosted Friday and Saturday Sept. 26 and 27. All nine will compete in the Grass Golf Championships, held at Evergreen Golf Course at Nipawin.

The North Battleford Comprehensive Junior Vikings dominated in all facets of the game en route to a 50-8 romp of the Prince Albert Junior Crusaders Wednesday night at Beaver Lions Stadium.
