For over 30 years I have been a proud resident of our beautiful historic town of Battleford. I have been a member of our Volunteer Fire Department for the last 12 years, and a Table Mountain Ski Patrol for three. My family and I enjoy golf, walking and biking on the river trails and the freedom the community provides. My background is in Agricultural consisting of Sales, Marketing and Product Management.
I believe our community needs to take steps to expand the recreation available to our children in Battleford. Update our playgrounds, expand the Tot Lot and look into the feasibility of a Battleford skate park.
Growth is what all communities strive towards. I believe we need accountability to make sure the long-term citizens of the community do not become the forgotten taxpayer at the expense of growth, that the overall appearance and maintenance of their streets and playgrounds do not decrease.
