I have been a resident of Battleford for the past 35 years and would like to be a part of the new administration being voted in.
I bring over 18 years of experience on town council and as an active member of this community as member of Kiwanis, Victim Services, lay ministry in the Anglican Church for over 30 years and many others. I say this because I think the new mayor needs people with past council experience and a steady head to be part of his team.
There have been many improvements in the town and its infrastructure continues to grow. With growth will come increased taxation, but our council must be careful that taxation does not become a burden. We must bear in mind the growing number of seniors, the young and new families and continue to work with the First Nation community to promote harmony and cooperation.
