I am a councillor and a grocery store co-owner, an active member of the transit committee and city representative to the Dekker Centre board.
Infrastructure concerns are top of the list. Not only issues of aging infrastructure but also expanding resources to meet future growth. Water, streets and sidewalks are always a concern. Public safety is of great concern. There are plans and decisions to be made regarding the waste management facility and the water treatment. Council also has to address renewing the city's downtown, managing the CUPlex, recycling, updating bylaws, working for a city budget that is fair to residential and commercial taxpayers, effectively communicating with the residents of North Battleford.
I strive to be accessible, approachable and accountable. I'm always willing to listen to concerns, any place and any time.
