BIDYK - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Stanley Bidyk, late of North Battleford, Saskatchewan on January 18, 2012 at the age of 79 years. Stanley was born on December 25, 1932 at Lashburn, Saskatchewan. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter Janice Bidyk (Jamal Ramjohn) and granddaughter Amina Ramjohn of Calgary, AB; sister Florence (Bill) Chomicki of Lloydminster, AB; brother Metro Bidyk of Edmonton, AB; nieces Heather Chomicki (Kelly Good) of Sherwood Park, AB and Colleen Chomicki (Kim Hood) of Lloydminster, AB; nephew Brent Chomicki of Vancouver, BC; Patricia Bidyk of Edmonton, AB; great niece Shastta Chomicki of Lloydminster, AB. He is predeceased by his wife Sylvia Yvonne Bidyk (2003); and parents Max and Julia Bidyk. Prayers were held on Sunday, January 22, 2012 from the Chapel of Sallows and McDonald - Wilson and Zehner Funeral Home with Jean Pawlus presiding. The Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, January 23, 2012 from Notre Dame de Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, North Battleford with Reverend Father Gerard Legaspi as celebrant. Janice Bidyk gave the eulogy. Music ministry was by Joan Harrison as organist and Notre Dame Church Choir accompanying. Pallbearers were: Brent Chomicki, Colleen Chomicki, Kim Hood, Roger Bidyk, Harvey Plume, and Tommy Schwab. The family have requested that donations in Stan's memory be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Interment took place at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
