GUBBE: This world is not conclusion; A sequel stands beyond, Invisible, as music, But positive, as sound. - Emily Dickinson Eleaze Eunice Gubbe (nee Eleaze Eunice Bouschard) June 15, 1914 - April 9, 2011 Eunice passed away Saturday, April 9th at the Battlefords Union Hospital following a brief illness. She is much loved and will be remembered by her three children, Louis (Jane) Gubbe, Lorna (Bob) Tannahill and David (Darline) Gubbe, grandchildren Terry (Alexandra) Tannahill, Leslie Tannahill, Glenn (Denise) Tannahill, Greg (Joanne) Gubbe, Spencer (Krista) Gubbe, Danielle (Rob) Elder and Jessica Gubbe; her siblings Pauline Clark of Mission, B.C., Ted Bouschard of Drayton Valley, AB, Fern (Gordon) Green of Saskatoon, SK as well as her many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis, her parents Lou and Alfred Bouschard and her sister Phyllis Bouschard. Eunice was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and moved to Saskatchewan as a small child. Her memories were happy ones. A love of nature and the outdoors showed itself in her proficiency in photography and gardening. She loved music, poetry and reading. Her cooking skills were unrivalled. She was a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, grandmother and aunt. She was a lifelong member of the United Church and valued the many friendships she made therein. Your life was long, Eunice, but not long enough for those of us who will always miss you. The family would like to thank Dr. Johnson, the staff in the Emergency Room and on Palliative Care 3rd Floor at the Battlefords Union Hospital for their excellent care in Eunice's last days. A celebration of her life will be held May 7th, 2011 at 2:00 p.m., at Battleford United Church. ____________________________________________________
