HAEGEBAERT; The Passing of Rita Anna-Maria Haegebaert of the North Battleford District occurred February 14, 2012 at Battlefords Union Hospital, Palliative Care Unit. She was 62 years of age. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 25 years, Camille, and her daughter, Sarah. Her sister-in-laws: Denise (Firmin) Liebaert and Godelieve Lacoursiere Her brother-in-law: Gaston Haegebaert. Her nieces & nephews: Lutgart (Paul) Matthÿs-De Maertelaere, Greta De Maertelaere, and Hugo (Birgit) De Maertelaere (from Belgium); Eileen (Eugene) Oborowsky, Joyce (Eugene) Polard, Victor (Elaine) Liebaert, Christine (Scott) Printz, Shirley (Kevin) Peters, Gordie Liebaert (Karen), Andre (Jacquie) Lacoursiere, Bernard (Raeanne) Lacoursiere, Michele (Mike) Barter, Paul (Karen) Lacoursiere, Susanne (Randy) White, and Mark (Shanna) Lacoursiere. Rita was pre-deceased by her parents, George Lamote and Alice Lamote-Schouteeten; sister, Godelieve De Maertelaere; two brothers in infancy; her brother-in-laws, Aimé De Maertelaere and Guy Lacoursiere; as well as many aunts and uncles. The Vigil of Prayer was held February 16, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. from St. Joseph Calasanctius Roman Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial was held February 17, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. from St Joseph Calasanctius Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Father Val Besas the Celebrant. The pallbearers were Gaston Haegebaert, George Pipp, Victor Liebaert, Pat Smith, Eugene Polard, and Eugene Oborowsky. Burial took place at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, North Battleford. Memorial Donations to The Canadian Cancer Society, Battlefords Union Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, or masses are gratefully accepted.
