HEINTZ: The family of Milt Heintz are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend on October 8, 2011 at the age of 72 after his brave battle with cancer. Milt was born on August 11, 1939 in Macklin, SK and was raised on the farm in Luseland, SK. In 1960 he married the love of his life Pat and this is when Milt began his 33 year career at SaskTel. His career took him from Kindersley, to Meadow Lake and finally to Saskatoon. He retired at the age of 53 and enjoyed retirement at their summer residence at Jackfish Lake and wintered in Lake Havasu, AZ for 15 years where they made new and wonderful friends and memories. Milt busied his days of retirement by being a town councillor, a volunteer firefighter, being the local handyman and of course enjoying his love of golf and family. He touched the hearts of many and will be remembered for his laughter, love of family and love of life as well as his unconditional love and support to those who were lucky enough to have known him. Milt was truly a thoughtful and generous man. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten by his family and friends. He leaves to mourn, his wife of 51 years, Pat (nee Lauriault); son, Dallas (Kathy) Saskatoon, daughter Michelle (North Battleford); nine grandchildren, Cody, Kealey, Brandon, Dillan, Andria, Mitchell, Daniele, Micheal and Layne; two great-grandchildren, Hayden and Sarah; mother, Mildred, brothers, Clinton (Peggy) and Arley (Inez); sisters Yvonne, and Donna (Vern); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Robert; and brother-in-law, Gary. He will be missed beyond measure and will remain in our hearts and spirits forever. The family would like to thank the staff at the Battleford Union Hospital for their care and support while Milt was there. At Milt's request, there will be no funeral services. A private family gathering will be held at a graveside service in Luseland. Memorial donations can be made to "Plant a Tree Fund", c/o Aquadeo Community Recreation Association, Box 501, Cochin, SK S0M 0L0. Arrangements were entrusted to Battlefords Funeral Service.
