KOEBERNICK, Paul Frederick ; July 1, 1922 - December 15, 2011. Paul was born on the family farm near Rabbit Lake. He was the eldest of 4 children. He grew up on the farm and attended school at Pleasant Site and later Rabbit Lake.

KOEBERNICK, Paul Frederick ; July 1, 1922 - December 15, 2011. Paul was born on the family farm near Rabbit Lake. He was the eldest of 4 children. He grew up on the farm and attended school at Pleasant Site and later Rabbit Lake. He left the farm as a young man to continue his studies in Calgary to become an electrician. After completing his education, he worked in Innisfail Alberta and then moved to Burns Lake, B.C. where experienced flying with a bush pilot to a sawmill in northern B.C. to do electrical work. Paul returned to the family farm in 1958 and married Evelyn Fraser. He continued to work on the farm and as an electrician. Most of the area residents made use of Paul's services. He was often called out on cold winter nights to repair furnaces and heating elements for livestock water. One very cold Christmas morning he had to start a fire under a propane tank to turn the gelled propane back into gas! Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, and picking wild berries. Many happy hours were spent on the shores and waters of Meeting Lake and Reserve Lake. After hanging up his fishing pole and rifles, Paul still enjoyed riding along to spot for birds and deer. He enjoyed reading a variety of topics including agriculture, sciences, politics and nature. He rarely missed the daily news and often enjoyed a good debate! Paul was a regular at the Whistle Stop Café. He was predeceased by his parents Frederick and Frieda Koebernick, brother Walter, sister Dorthea Winegar, step daughter Elsie, step son-in-law Gerry Drews, infant grandson Lewis and brother-in-law Lionel Lunan. He is survived by, wife Evelyn Koebernick, son Kevin (Jackie Greene), grandchildren Mitchell & Leah, daughter Deanna (Elston Solberg), granddaughter Kaelyn , sister Eleanor Lunan, sister-in-law Elaine Koebernick, nephew Michael Koebernick, nieces Linda & Carol Ann Winegar, step-daughters Judy (Myles Ricketts) and Sharron Koebernick (Anita Seebach), 5 step-grandchildren & 8 step-great grandchildren. At Paul's request, no service will be held. Donations may be made to the Saskatchewan Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Habitat Trust Fund (Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation) in Paul's memory. ____________________________________________________
