KRAWCHUK - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joyce Margaret Krawchuk, late of North Battleford, Saskatchewan on February 10, 2012 at the age of 73 years. Joyce was born on January 28, 1939 at Blaine Lake, SK.

KRAWCHUK - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joyce Margaret Krawchuk, late of North Battleford, Saskatchewan on February 10, 2012 at the age of 73 years. Joyce was born on January 28, 1939 at Blaine Lake, SK. She leaves behind to forever cherish her memory her loving husband Zonie ; daughters Sharon (Henri) Bernier, Judy (Cory) Schaffer, and Janey (Andy) Friedrich; son Tim Krawchuk; her grandchildren: Amanda, Hayden, Megan, and Adam; brother Harold (Joan) Birkett; sister-in-law Marilyn Krawchuk; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents William and Alma Birkett; father-in-law Slawko Krawchuk; mother-in-law Annie Pawlowski (Joe); brother-in-law Walter Krawchuk. The memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from Third Avenue United Church, North Battleford, with Reverend Frances Patterson officiating. Sharon Bernier gave the eulogy. Music ministry was provided by Jaya Hoy as organist and the Third Avenue United Church Choir. Urn Bearer was Amanda Krawchuk. The family have requested that donations in Joyce's memory be made to the Battlefords Humane Society or to the River Heights Lodge Auxiliary. Interment took place at the City of North Battleford Cemetery. Card of Thanks The family of Joyce Krawchuk wishes to thank the ICU and Palliative Care staff at BUH for the care and compassion she received. We also wish to thank the staff at River Heights Lodge who treated her like one of their family. Thank you to Reverend Frances Patterson who presided over the funeral service, and also visited with her at the lodge and the hospital. Thank you to Jaya Hoy and the United Church Choir for providing music at the service. Sincere thanks to the staff of Sallows & McDonald - Wilson & Zehner Funeral Home for the professional and compassionate manner in which they handled our arrangements.
