On Thursday, December 3, 2015 Mrs. Dorene Mackie McFadyen of Islay passed away at the age of 84 years. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Alex McFadyen; children Brenda (Aime) Rousseau, Janet Mackie, Sandi Mackie, Deborah (Brent) McCaffrey; grandchildren Adrien (Suzanne), Marc (Karin), Curtis (Kristi), Bowen, Karl, Denean, Jason, Dennis (Sarah), Christopher, and Cara; great grandchildren Atley, Caleb, Burke, and Ryder as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Dorene was predeceased by her first husband Colin Mackie; parents William and Clara Harley; and her siblings. A Memorial Service was held at the Islay Community Hall on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Interment followed at the Islay Cemetery.
