RADCHENKO : It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cecil Harry Radchenko, of Battleford, Saskatchewan on May 10, 2011 at the age of 93 years. Cecil was born on September 10, 1917 in Woronichs, District of Gluchov, Ukraine and passed in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Cecil is lovingly remembered by his wife, Aina, of Luther Care Home in Saskatoon; children, Myles (Phyllis) of Yellowknife, Phyllis (Emil) Nagy of Kelowna, Roland (Carol) of Battleford, Edwin (Vi) of North Battleford, Colin (Lana) of San Diego, Paul (Suzanne) of Edmonton, Joy (Wil) Murphy of Saskatoon and Ian (Heather) of Saskatoon; grandchildren, Travis (Adrienne), Natascha, Ryan, Joshua (Danielle), Ashley (Jeffrey), Brienne, Brennan, Sofia, Madelyn, Russia and Pierce; great grandchildren, Katerina, Isabelle and Kazmir, and numerous nieces and nephews. Cecil was predeceased by his children, Sheila, Bernice and John; parents, Harry and Katherine; brothers, John, Alec and Nick and sister Nettie. The celebration of Cecil's life was held on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church in North Battleford, Saskatchewan with Pastor Sheldon Gattinger officiating. The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Luther Care Home in Saskatoon or the River Heights Lodge in North Battleford. Interment took place at Willowmoor Cemetery, south of Battleford, Saskatchewan.
