RISLING: In Loving Memory of Alice Jean Risling who was born April 17, 1928 at Scott, SK and passed away March 22, 2011 at North Battleford, SK. Jean is survived by her loving family: daughter, Carol (Gerald) Haas, Landis, SK and son, Dale (Cora) Risling, Battleford, SK; grandson, Trevor Haas, Hinton, AB and granddaughter, Carla (Brent) McQuaig, Grande Prairie, AB; sister, Dorothy Phillips, Vancouver, BC; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her husband Carl Risling, Jr. and by her parents, Lorne & Linda Wilson. Vigil of Prayer was held Friday, March 25, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. with Presider, Pat Smith and Eulogist, Carla McQuaig and Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Gerard Legaspi Celebrant. Both Services were held at St. Joseph Calasanctius Roman Catholic Church, North Battleford, SK. The Cross Bearer was Carla McQuaig and the Eulogist was Trevor Haas. Liturgy Of The Word was shared by 1st Reading, Carla McQuaig; Responsorial Psalm, Choir; 2nd Reading, Linda Kappel; Gospel, Fr. Gerard Legaspi and Prayers Of The Faithful, Carla McQuaig. Liturgy Of The Eucharist Gift Bearers were Mel Risling and Irene Risling. Gifts of Music was Organist, Mrs. Doreen Gilles; St. Joseph Faith Community Choir; Soloist, Marlene Risling sang "Just A Closer Walk With Thee" with Accompanist, Marilee Risling. The Honourary Pallbearers were Dorothy Phillips, Wilma Penn, Else Roschker, Eileen Hoswitschka, Stacey Felix, Betty Zakresky, Mary Brandle, Mary & Linda Ulmer, Mel Risling and "All Others Who Shared In Mom's Life". Active Pallbearers were Trevor Haas, Murray Risling, David Risling, Brent McQuaig, Doug Risling and Fred Roschker. Memorials are requested to Heart & Stroke Foundation, 279 - 3rd Ave. N, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8.
