SCHUMLICH - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kay Schumlich, late of Battleford, Saskatchewan on April 14, 2012 at the age of 92 years. Kay was born on March 13, 1920 at Sokal, Poland.

SCHUMLICH - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kay Schumlich, late of Battleford, Saskatchewan on April 14, 2012 at the age of 92 years. Kay was born on March 13, 1920 at Sokal, Poland. Left to cherish Kay's memory are her children: daughter Jenny Krauss of Jasper, AB: granddaughter Kathryn (Jeff) Keogan - great-grandchildren Kara Lee and JJ, of Jasper, AB and grandson Rob Krauss and great-grandson Hayden of Birmingham, Alabama; son Ron (Joyce) Schumlich of North Battleford, SK: grandson Todd Schumlich of Pemberton, BC and grandson Mark (Cindy) Schumlich - great-grandchildren Ayden, Kohen, and Ethan of Medicine Hat, AB; sisters-in-law Nellie Tomanek, Mary Mariash, Ann Shumlick; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Frank; brothers Pete (Ann) and John Tomanek; parents Walter and Polly; son-in-law Frank Krauss. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from Notre Dame de Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, North Battleford, with Reverend Father Gerard Legaspi as celebrant. Interment took place at the Glass Lake Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations in Kay's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Your tender loving care and treating our mother/grandmother with dignity and respect is very much appreciated. Thank you to Father Gerard Legaspi for his service, Wendy and Bill Rosgen for providing the music, and the Notre Dame CWL for providing the lunch. Also a heartfelt thank you to Kristeen Nylander at Sallows and McDonald - Wilson and Zehner for her compassionate assistance at a difficult time for our family.
