Regarding “Blaine Lake heritage site prepares for 2015 season” (Regional Optimist, April 21), in the history of the Doukhobors, the mass media has generally failed to recognize the difference between Doukhobors and Sons of Freedom, resulting in major discrimination against the peaceful group. The moment that Sons of Freedom participated in acts of violence, they ceased to be Doukhobors.
