City employees work hard to provide answers

Dear Editor

Regarding, "Tax notice an unwelcome surprise" (Regional Optimist, June 13), North Battleford residents who have questions about any City-related issues should be able to get clear answers. City employees field dozens of inquiries each day from residents looking for a variety of general or very specific information, relating to bylaws, taxes, and utilities to recreational services and maintenance requests. While miscommunication can and does happen, this dedicated team of employees work hard to get the right information to all inquiring residents. Their intention is to provide the best possible service to the 14,000 people who call North Battleford home, and I am proud of the job they do every day.

North Battleford residents who have further concerns, questions and opinions about City business or issues are welcome to call me directly at 306-445-1728 or email [email protected]. Your input is important, and I look forward to the conversation.

Ian Hamilton

Mayor of North Battleford
