Dead birds a turn off

Dear Editor

As a rural resident of the North Battleford area, I was appalled at something I recently saw in the city. I parked my vehicle next to an abandoned building at 1142A – 100th St. to go to a restaurant for lunch. Just inside the doors, and clearly visible, were two dead pigeons lying inside the building’s doorstep. I was not very hungry for food after seeing that.

Does anyone ever check these abandoned buildings out? What do visitors to our area think if they happen to see a sight like this? Whatever happened to pride in your community?

I am hoping someone from City Hall reading this will take the initiative to remove these birds and properly clean up the debris.

Whatever happened to having a clean city and being proud of where you live?
