On the night of Nov. 1, there was a horrific fire at Delorme Beach in Battlefords Provincial Park. This fire destroyed two cabins and caused major damage to a third.
The Cochin, Meota and Glaslyn fire departments, along with several individuals, responded and were able to contain the fire.
We want to extend our sincere sympathy to the three families who lost so much. Our three families are summer residents at Delorme Beach and we are all situated closed to where the fire occurred.
We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to the firefighters and individuals who literally saved our homes. The dedication and bravery that was evidenced by these people is amaze.
