In addition to holding a lifetime interest in health and nutrition, I also happen to be a fan of current science and the truth. Why does Health Canada allow unproven, untested genetically modified organism (GMO) products to be sold in our grocery stores while at the same time banning effective, inexpensive, natural cures and herbs? An effective natural cancer cure would have to go through 10 to 20 years of testing, and jump over numerous hurdles before it would ever be available to mankind. Yet genetically modified (GM) 'foods' were simply utilized in our foods, untested, unneeded, and unasked for by the swarms of consumers. The only things GMO have proven to do well is to cause strife and turmoil in humanity, giving eugenicists a firm foothold. Why is it that our brilliant geneticists have not bio-engineered a crop that is all-around healthy and sustaining, which can be grown with ease? The only products coming out of the biotech labs only benefit the patent-holders and the manufacturers.Congratulations to Peru for banning all GM foods for 10 years, time that will be used to test the safety and efficacy of genetically modified foods. They now join Ecuador and Hungary as some of the few countries of the world to ban GMO until long-term testing is complete. Health Canada appears to be unconcerned about Canadians. It may be time to dissolve Health Canada, ban lobbyists altogether and allow our parliament to function as originally intended - for the safety and liberty of all Canadians.
