Intersection misleading

I totally agree with the editorial "Time To Pay Attention"(Humboldt Journal, March 28, 2012). I am surprised that you would have gotten flack from the City on the roundabout idea. Obviously, they hadn't given any thought to that idea at all.

Yes, that corner seems to be very misleading, in that especially in the winter time, no one seems to know which lane they should be in whether left turn, go through or right turn.
Understood that there are yellow lines to show us, but we don't see them from October through sometime late spring or summer, makes it more difficult. I have been behind semi-trailers going straight through and 95 per cent of the time, there is no way you can make a right turn. I have seen traffic blocked up for over a block.
There is not enough room, period, for four lanes of traffic, to the west, north, east and south, to flow smoothly as it stands now. You had asked for an answer to the problem - it is just more room to put the vehicles.
