Making amends

The publication of a recent "boot" submitted by a resident disgruntled about a missed opportunity to share Allen Sapp Gallery with visitors from British Columbia was nixed by the publisher of the News-Optimist.

The publication of a recent "boot" submitted by a resident disgruntled about a missed opportunity to share Allen Sapp Gallery with visitors from British Columbia was nixed by the publisher of the News-Optimist. It was, however, forwarded to the City of North Battleford and staff initiated an investigation to find out why the gallery was closed during hours when it was scheduled to be open on a Sunday. Because of the anonymous nature of the Boots and Bouquets feature, the newspaper was unable to help the Parks and Recreation Department contact the person lodging the complaint. The City staff would like the opportunity to apologize to the resident and also to forward a gift from the gallery to the disappointed out-of-town visitors.

The person who dropped off the Boots and Bouquets is invited to contact either the newspaper at 445-7261 or Keith Anderson at the City Parks and Recreation Department 445-1740.
