I also very much enjoy reading Helena Pike's column, however she had a little bit of the information incorrect.
Senior Megavolley has 48 teams, 24 boys and 24 girls. We believe it is the biggest high school tournament in the province (and maybe Western Canada!) The senior tournament runs from Thursday to Saturday. The players actually sleep in classrooms in the high school and elementary school.
The article is absolutely correct when it mentions that we play in the rink (four courts) and in the high school and elementary gyms. On Saturday the rink is as full as a Maidstone Jet playoff game (that's really full).
