Reunion did SHNB legacy proud

Dear Editor It is my pleasure to write a letter of commendation to the committee in charge of the centennial celebration of the Saskatchewan Hospital.

Dear Editor

It is my pleasure to write a letter of commendation to the committee in charge of the centennial celebration of the Saskatchewan Hospital. I could not find their names listed in the excellent book, Century of Caring, although I did find them listed under the SHNB History Book Committee, Jane Shury verified their identity. So delivering them from under the umbrella of neglect, I proudly present their names as follows: Jane Shury (chairman), Frank Simpson, John Yarske, Dorothy Edworthy. Liz Carstensen and Linda Lewis are given as special advisor and editor.

I am fully aware of the incredible effort that went into the planning and execution of the three-day celebration, just as I am sensible of the dedication and effort of Dr. James MacNeill. I am his grandson, his eldest living relative. The 100th anniversary was everything he could have wished, had he lived to see it. Thank you on his behalf and mine.

Jim MacNeill
