St. Walburg parishioners shaken

Dear Editor

Last year, before Christmas, someone cut down two lovely spruce trees in the Saint Marguerite Cemetery along Highway 3 near St. Walburg.

This year, on the evening of July 20, two large, beautiful pots of flowers in full bloom positioned on the walkway in front of the St. Walburg Roman Catholic Church were stolen after 9:15 p.m. The thieves probably did not have room in whatever vehicle they were using to take the other two pots near the church entrance.

Where has decency gone? It is a down right shame to vandalize a cemetery and a church. Parishioners hope that whoever you are, you were able to enjoy your Christmas with stolen trees for decoration and that you get satisfaction having pots of flowers stolen from the church.

Please know your actions shocked and hurt many people. You should be ashamed.
