Dear Editor

Have you ever experienced that sinking feeling and subsequent panic when out in public and far from home you misplace something significant – your keys, a wallet, maybe a smart phone?
My wife and I experienced this on a recent visit to North Battleford. To make matters worse, we didn't even realize that her wallet was missing until we had arrived in Saskatoon several hours after a brief stop at the Co-op.

My reason for writing is to express our gratitude to the staff at this location who found, in their parking lot, a wallet with cash, major credit and debit cards, as well as other valuables. Not only did they find it and pick it up, they brought it inside and went to great lengths to contact us and put our minds at ease.
In a world that too often focuses on human failings, our brief moment of carelessness served as a simple reminder that there are good people out there, doing great things, every day. I want to thank the Co-op staff for restoring our faith in people and for leaving us with a positive impression of a community we've visited only once (twice if you include the trip back to get the wallet) and will surely see again.
