Thanksgiving ministerial message: A story for the season

“One day a professor told his students he was giving them a surprise test and proceeded to hand out papers with only a blue dot near the bottom of the page. “I want you to write about what you see here”.

“One day a professor told his students he was giving them a surprise test and proceeded to hand out papers with only a blue dot near the bottom of the page. “I want you to write about what you see here”. At the end of the class the professor shared the answers. All of them, without exception, described the blue dot by trying to explain its position on the sheet. Then the professor explained; “I am not going to grade you on this; I just want to give you something to think about. No one wrote about the white part of the paper. Everyone focused on the blue dot. That same thing happens in our lives.

Our life is a special gift from God and we always have reason to celebrate. Yet, we focus only on the dark spots; money, relationship problems, health issues, and so on. We need to realize that these dots are small compared to everything else we do have in our lives. My advice is to take your eyes away from the dark spots that occupy your thinking. You have so much more to be grateful for. Be thankful and enjoy every moment of this amazing life you’ve been given!”

Colossians 4: 2 “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful”

May you know God’s rich blessings in your life!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
