Time to think like world class art supporters

A massive, colourful, fragrant bouquet to the Battlefords Community Players on their presentation of Transit of Venus during supper theatre productions at the Dekker Centre this week. The set was astonishing, the costumes were authentic (oh to have lived in an era when it was fashionable for a woman to have large behinds) and the performances compelling.

A boot to the theatre-goers who left after the second intermission. Not only did your decision show an amazing level of disrespect for the work of those on the stage and behind the scenes, you also missed the most compelling scene of the play. Now that our local theatre troupe has a world-class facility in which to perform, I believe it is time for patrons to begin acting like world class-supporters of the arts.
