Police investigate early morning stabbing in Prince Albert

A man was taken to hospital after a stabbing early Tuesday in Prince Albert. Police say the suspect fled the scene and remains at large.

PRINCE ALBERT — Police are investigating after a man was stabbed early Tuesday morning in the 1600 block of 17th Street West.

Officers were called to the area shortly after 1:30 a.m. on June 10 for a reported assault with a weapon.

Upon arrival, they found an injured man who was treated on scene by Parkland Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital. His injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

Police say the suspect had fled the scene before officers arrived. A search of the area was conducted, but the suspect was not located.

According to investigators, the victim and suspect are believed to be known to each other.
