43-year-old woman charged with vehicle theft in Wilkie

Unity RCMP weekly policing report for Aug 2-8 includes investigations into stolen vehicles, sexual assault complaint and attempted break and enter into residence

Unity Report

RCMP attended the sudden death of a 63-year-old man from the Unity area. The death was deemed not suspicious in nature.

Members conducted a well-being check at the request of a family member.

Police received a noise complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning.

RCMP received a complaint of an abandoned vehicle near Tramping Lake. The vehicle was not registered and was subsequently towed.

Members acted as mediators in a family dispute.

Police received a report of a dog barking in Denzil. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a complaint of theft, but it was unfounded.

Members received a report of a tractor fire near Unity. The fire was extinguished by Unity Fire Department and was not suspicious in nature.

Police are investigating a complaint of sexual assault.

There were also two false alarms and three traffic complaints.

Wilkie Report

RCMP received a complaint of a stolen bicycle. The complainant declined to proceed.

Members received a complaint of theft from a motor vehicle but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Police received a complaint of trespassing. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a complaint of an intoxicated individual walking on the street in Wilkie. Members patrolled but could not locate the subject of complaint.

Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle near a business. Members attended but the vehicle was gone on arrival.

A 43-year-old woman from Wilkie was charged with mischief after members received a complaint of disturbing the peace.

RCMP are investigating a complaint of theft.

Police received a complaint of a stolen vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

Members are investigating a complaint of uttering threats.

RCMP conducted a well-being check at the request of a family friend.

Members received a complaint of an unwanted individual at a residence. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members transported the subject of complaint of Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment.

There were also two traffic complaints.

Macklin Report

RCMP received a complaint of shoplifting. Members spoke to the business representative about banning the individual from the premises.

Police received a report of unwanted individuals at a residence. Members attended but the subjects of complaint were gone on arrival.

Members received a complaint of an attempted break and enter into a residence. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a report of trespassing. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a complaint of uttering threats but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
