Unity RCMP Detachment's weekly policing report for the period Dec. 7-13

UNITY REPORT

RCMP received a complaint of fraud. This matter is still under investigation.

Members are investigating another fraud complaint.

Police received a complaint of an individual not complying with a condition of a release order. This matter is still under investigation.

Members attended the sudden death of a 76-year-old Unity male. The death was not suspicious in nature.

RCMP received a complaint of defamatory libel. This matter is still under investigation.

CN Police reported damage to a railway crossing arm. Reported for information purposes.

Police are investigating a complaint of harassing communications.

Members attended a two-vehicle collision on Highway 14 east of Unity. One vehicle driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Unity Heath Centre by Emergency Medical Services. A traffic ticket was issued to one vehicle driver.

A 35-year-old Unity male was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle during a traffic stop.

RCMP received a report of an intoxicated individual walking down the street. Members transported the subject of complaint to a residence to remain in the care of another adult.

CN Police reported a vehicle hitting a railway crossing arm. Insufficient evidence to proceed.

Police received a report of a missing person. The person was later located.

Members received a report of a single vehicle collision. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a complaint of uttering threats. This matter is still under investigation.

A 36-year-old male was charged with resisting a peace officer after members received a report of an intoxicated male in a public place.

Police received a complaint of breach of peace. Members attended but the subject of complaint was gone on arrival and was not located during patrols.

There was also one traffic complaint.

WILKIE REPORT

RCMP received a complaint of theft. This matter is still under investigation.

Members received a report of identity theft. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a report of an abandoned vehicle. Members spoke to the registered owner who agreed to move the vehicle.

Members assisted Child and Family Services with a child welfare investigation.

RCMP received a report of a vehicle collision with a deer. There were no injuries. Reported for insurance purposes.

There were also two false alarms.

MACKLIN REPORT

RCMP received a complaint of theft. This matter is still under investigation.

Members received a request from the Division Emergency Operations Centre to conduct mandatory travel COVID 19 quarantine compliance checks on individuals in the area.

Police are investigating a complaint of theft.

RCMP received a complaint of assault. This matter is still under investigation.

There was also one false 911 call.
