Sept. 21-27 weekly RCMP report outlines a number of incidents in Unity, Wilkie and Macklin

UNITY REPORT

  • CP Police reported two individuals on the railway tracks near Unity. Members attended but the subjects of complaint were gone on arrival.
  • RCMP received a complaint of harassing communications but it was unfounded.
  • Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.
  • Members acted as mediators in a family disagreement.
  • RCMP received a report of an intoxicated individual near a drinking establishment in Unity. The subject of complaint was lodged in cells until sober.
  • Members spoke to a youth at the request of the guardian.
  • Police are investigating a report of an individual disturbing the peace.
  • Members conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a neighbour.
  • There were also two traffic complaints.

WILKIE REPORT

  • RCMP received a complaint of theft but it was unfounded.
  • Police spoke to an individual regarding a child custody concern.
  • RCMP received a report of a suspicious individual at a residence. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.
  • Wilkie Fire Department reported a grass fire near Landis. Members were not required to attend. Reported for information purposes.
  • Police are investigating a complaint of sexual interference.
  • An individual turned in a wallet that was located on the street in Wilkie. The wallet was returned to the owner.
  • Members spoke to an individual that was hitchhiking on the highway near Wilkie. The individual declined police assistance.
  • RCMP received a report of an intoxicated individual at a business in Wilkie. The subject of complaint was lodged in cells until sober.
  • Police received a report of an suspicious individual walking on the Highway near Wilkie. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.
  • There were also two traffic complaints and three false alarms.

MACKLIN REPORT

  • RCMP and Macklin Fire Department attended a semi fire north of Macklin. The fire was not suspicious in nature.
  • Members acted as mediators in a family dispute.
  • Police received a complaint of assault but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
  • Members conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a neighbour.
  • RCMP received a report of gun shots near Macklin Lake. Members confirmed it was fireworks being set off.
  • Police received a noise compliant. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.
  • RCMP attended a two vehicle collision near Macklin. There were no injuries. This matter is still under investigation.
