Moose collision, combine fire and criminal harassment all in this week's RCMP report

In the weekly report for the period Sept. 7-13, Unity RCMP Detachment reported to a variety of incidents and complaints

UNITY REPORT

RCMP received a report of a vehicle collision with a moose. There were no injuries. Reported for insurance purposes.

An individual turned in a debit card located at a business. Member contacted financial institution who notified the owner and requested the card be destroyed.

Police received complaint of theft of a jerry can from a residence yard in Denzil but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Members acted as mediators between a landlord and tenant.

RCMP received a report of a fire in a field near Unity. It was a controlled fire that was not suspicious in nature.

Police received a complaint of an individual damaging a vehicle. Reported for insurance purposes. There are no suspects.

Members received a complaint of uttering threats, but it was unfounded.

RCMP received a complaint of criminal harassment. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a compliant of theft. Reported for information purposes.

There were also two traffic complaints.

WILKIE REPORT

RCMP received a report of an individual walking in the middle of Highway 29 north of Wilkie. Members located the individual and provided transportation to another community.

Members attended a combine fire near Wilkie. The fire was extinguished by Wilkie Fire Department and was not suspicious in nature.

Police received a request to keep the peace while the Bylaw Officer served bylaw tickets to a resident.

Members attended the sudden death of a 58-year-old female from the Wilkie area. The death was not suspicious in nature.

RCMP received a report of an unwanted individual in a residence yard. Member transported the individual to another residence.

There was also one false alarm.

MACKLIN REPORT

RCMP received a report of a vehicle breaking an internet cable. Insufficient evidence to proceed.

A business reported product lost during shipment. Reported as per business policy.

A 23-year-old male from Macklin was charged with Uttering Threats after members received a complaint of uttering threats.

Police are investigating a complaint of dangerous driving.

There was also one traffic complaint.
