RCMP respond to male threatening residents in Macklin

Macklin man will be back in court June 27 in North Battleford.

MACKLIN — In the early morning hours of June 22, the Unity RCMP responded to a complaint of a man threatening people at a residence in Macklin.

Members attended and arrested 34-year-old-Christopher Paul Reid of Macklin. Reid appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court June 24 and is charged with firearms and weapons offences including possession of a handgun without a licence and carrying a concealed weapon (knife). He is also charged with two counts of uttering death threats and possession of meth.

Reid is also charged for breaching release orders.

He was remanded in custody for a show cause hearing June 27 in North Battleford.
