EDAM — On behalf of the Cey family, it gives me great pleasure to announce that Mitch Wall, captain of the Edam 3 Stars, has been selected as the inaugural winner of the Bill Cey Memorial SWHL "hardest working local player" award.

Mitch has captained the team for nearly 15 years.

His nomination read, “Our team goes as Mitch goes, he is 3 Stars hockey. To thank all the kids for supporting us, he bought 100 mini sticks with 3 Star logos and handed them out at a recent home game. True class, and by far, the hardest working player on our club. Mitch also coaches minor hockey and has served on the local rink board for the last four years.”

Introduced this year, the Bill Cey Memorial Award will be presented for 10 years, to an individual deemed the hardest working local player in the SWHL.
