UCHS and McLurg going for gold at Hoopla 2022

UCHS boys and McLurg girls are vying for a provincial gold medal March 26 at Hoopla, while UCHS girls play in the bronze medal game

Hoopla is the well-known name for the Sask. High School Athletics Association provincial basketball championship. It's what teams set their goal for all season long.

After Unity Composite High School boys and girls, and McLurg girl's, basketball teams were golden at both conference and regional play-downs the teams headed off to various communities in the province ot compete for a provincial title.

UCHS boys competed in Osler and in a game described as "intense", the team was victorious winning by an incredibly close score of 60-59 to advance to the gold medal game on March 26.

UCHS girls, while playing a remarkably great game, were not able to come out with the W and will play Kamsack in the bronze medal match at their provincial event in Indian Head on March. 26.

McLurg girls defeated their opponent keeping their win streak alive and will vying for a provincial gold medal March 26 in Wynyard.
