WILKIE - McLurg High School in Wilkie will see a change in leadership.

Principal Greg Mamer is eligible to retire in January. He is migrating to North Battleford Comprehensive High School until Christmas.

“I just felt it was the right time for a bit of a change as I get closer to retirement,” Mamer says.

Current Norman Carter School principal Jim Shevchuk will be adding the leadership at McLurg High School to his roles in the fall, sharing his time in both buildings.

In the school newsletter, Shevchuk says, “I am thrilled to work with our Norman Carer alumni at the high school. They are both excellent teams with fantastic students. I am blessed to be principal of two schools.”
